VIII's Society MC Karaoke Contest

Open auditions are Saturday, February 11 and Saturday, March 10 at 8:00.

Finals will be on Saturday, April 14 at 8:00.

Where:

The VIII's Society MC Clubhouse, 3197 W. 5^th Ave., Apache Junction, AZ 85220

How:

Each week of auditions, 5 contestants will qualify based on scoring.

There will be 10 contestants for the finals.

Contestants will be expected to check in between 7:00 and 8:00 pm on contest days.

There will be no tolerance for interference or heckling of the judges.  

Judging decisions are final.

The judging criteria are as follows (50 points possible per song):

-          Vocal/Singing Ability (20 points)

-          Stage Presence/Charisma (10 points)

-          Appearance (5 points)

-          Entertainment/Crowd Reaction/Audience Participation (15 points)

Each audience member may also vote for the contestant of their choice.  Each audience vote counts as one point towards their total score.

Must be 21 or older to enter.

What:

Each contestant will sing to DJ provided Karaoke music, or may bring their original Karaoke discs.  Contestants must choose one fast song and one slow song.

Prizes:

The overall winner will receive $300 gift from Dirty Goat Productions (sponsor).
